Digestive and Urinary Disorders

This is homework due November 25, 2020

 

Many physical and emotional disorders are associated with the digestive and urinary systems.  Many of us will experience or know someone who will suffer from one of these disorders.

 

1. Choose a topic on which you would like to further your understanding.

2. Prepare a 5 paragraph paper on your topic, double-spaced, 12 point font.

3. Prepare to speak to the class about your topic.

4. Your class presentation should include a visual aid, i.e. a poster or model.

 

Include in your report:

 

1. Description of the symptoms of the disorder.

2. Explanation of the cause or causes of the disorder.

3. Description of the treatment.

4. How (if possible) the disorder could be prevented

5. What local support groups, if any, are available for people with the disorder?

If you choose to research something other than the diseases listed please check with me first. By Googling digestive / urinary disorders you will find many more topics.

 

In the past, several students have chosen Anorexia or Bulimia. While these are appropriate and valid subjects it gets difficult hearing the same information repeated over and over during oral reports. Additionally, fewer topics are covered. I would therefore ask that no more than 1 student address each topic.
